The Last Will and Testament of
November 29, 1850-June 1851
June Term 1851
In the name of God Amen. I ARTHUR PRITCHARD of Pasquotank County and State of North Carolina being of sound mind & memory, do make and ordain this instrument of writing to contain my Last Will & Testament in manner and form following viz:
I give and bequeath unto my Two Sons WILLIAM B. PRITCHARD and JESSE PRITCHARD my tract of land joining the Desert, WILLIAM to have the side binding Stokely Morris and JESSE to have the side joining Ephramie Brite and if either WILLIAM or JESSE should die without heir for his land to be divided between the other and my Son ARTHUR equally.
Second: I give and bequeath to my Son JAMES PRITCHARD the tract of land where my Brother LEMUEL PRITCHARD lived.
I give and bequeath to my Daughter ELIRA DAILEY one bed and furniture one large chest one dining table, one linen wheel an ??? & harness.
I also land to my beloved Wife RUTH PRITCHARD the tract of land whereon I now live during her life and after her death I give the said land to my Son ARTHUR PRITCHARD forever also the Thorton? Tract of land on the canal & one green bofat, I also lend to my Wife RUTH PRITCHARD all the balance of my property during her natural life & after death of my Wife all the balance of my property that has not been given to my children to be equally divided amongst them all to share and share alike after first paying all my just debts, furthermore I do nominate and constitute and appoint my Son WILLIAM B. PRITCHARD to be the Executor of this my Last Will and Testament hereby disannulling all former wills by me heretofore made. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 29th day of November 1850.

The Last Will and Testament of ARTHUR PRITCHARD decd. Was exhibited in open court and the execution proved in due form of law by the oath of N.R. Pritchard one of the subscribing witnesses thereto, and at the same time Wm.B. Pritchard, the executor therein named appeared and qualified as such by the court it was ordered that the Will be recorded and letter testamentary issue.
