Catawba College Library & Science Labs 1927

Recently added to the yearbook index are the senior classes from Catawba College covering 1927-1935. In this update more than 470 names were added.

Catawba College is located in Salisbury, Rowan County and most of the students are from Rowan, Cabarrus, Davidson, Stanly and Catawba counties. The yearbooks are available online at DigitalNC.org

You can find the list of senior names here. Common surnames that appear are Bostian, Brown, Corriher, Eller, Fisher, Fleming, Foil, Hedrick/Hetrick, Kluttz, Leonard, Linn, Miller, Roseman, Rufty, Smith, Surratt, Warlick, and Young.

Mitchell Community College: 1908-1940

The latest update to the database adds more then 400 seniors from the 1908-1940 yearbooks of Mitchell Community College, located in Statesville, Iredell County. As you may imagine, many students were from Statesville, but other counties are represented.

St. Mary’s School 1921-1930 Graduates

Newly added to the database are the senior class listings for St. Mary’s School in Raleigh for the 1921-1930 graduating classes. This update includes more than 260 names.

In addition to the index listing, the yearbooks themselves are definitely worth consulting. Several volumes include a list of the “Granddaughters and Daughters of St. Mary’s” and lists 2-3 generations of St. Mary’s graduates.

Winston-Salem State University Seniors, 1935-1950

The most recent update to the NC Yearbook Index includes graduating seniors from Winston-Salem State University (WSSU) from 1935-1950. WSSU is a historically black college located in Forsyth County. While indexing the yearbooks, I even found a relative of mine!

Montreat College Seniors, 1927-1940

Tonight, we have added a list of graduating senior classes from the 1927-1940 Montreat Normal School (now Montreat College) yearbooks.

This update includes almost 500 individuals. Since Montreat College is in Buncombe County, many women from nearby SC, TN & VA also attended. You can see the list here.

Today, I added an index to graduating seniors from 1900-1920 from St. Mary’s School in Raleigh, NC. This update adds an additional 277 names to the index.
