ROBERT and JEMIMA CALLOR to WILLIAM GRAVES- 1758

 
Deed dated 20 June 1758 - 386 acres from Robert Callor and his wife Jemima Callor to William Graves on Owen's Creek in Granville County, NC; subsequently in Bute County, NC and finally in Warren County, NC.
 

This Indenture made the XXth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred & fifty eight between Robert Callor & Jemima his wife of Granville County & Province of North Carolina of the one part and William Graves of the same County & Province of the other part

 Witnesseth that they the said Robert Callor & Jemima his wife for and in consideration of the sum of forty pounds currt. money of Virga to them in hand paid by the said William Graves at or before the enòealing & delivery of theòe preòents the Recept whereof they the sd. Robert Callor & Jemima his wife do hereby acknowledge & themselves therewith fully satisfied hath given granted bargained sold & delivered and by these preòents doth give grant bargain sell alieu releòe enòe of & confirm unto the said William Graves one cartain track or parcel of land lying & being in Granville County also on both sides of Owins Creek containing three hundred eighty six acres to the same more or leòs and bounded as followeth

to witt Begining at Hackneys corner a red Oak in Govr. Johnsons line then running by said line South 45°. Eaòt ninty pole to a Hickory thence East one hundred ninty fore pole by Ballard line to a black Jack then South two hundd. fifty sevin pole croòsing sd. Creek to a white Oak in Hackneys line thence by his line to the beginning with all woods underwoods trees wards water water courses profits commodities & hereditaments whatsoever to the same belonging or in aney wiòe appertaining thereto together with the Reveròion & Reversions Remainder & Remainders Rents & Iòsues ^thereof and all the Estate right title interest claim & demand whatsoever of them the said Robert Callor & Jemima his wife hath or ought to have thereto

To have and to hold the aforsaid granted & bargained promiòes unto the said William Graves his hears and Aòsigns forever for the only proper uòe benefit & behoof of him the said William Graves his hears and Aòsigns forever and he the said Robert Callor & Jemima his wife doth covenant and grant to & with him the said William Graves that he the said William Graves his heirs & Aòsigns may forever hereafter peceably and quietly have hold occupy poòseòs and enjoy the aforesd. granted and bargained promiòses without the disturbance molestation or eviction of them their heirs & forever and they the said Robert Callor & Jemima his wife doth by theòse preòsents warrant and ceòen the aforesaid granted and bargained promiòes unto the said William Graves free and clear from all Incumbrants of what nature or kind so ever and from the just claim of any person or peròons whatsoever

 In Witneòs whereof they the said Robert Callor & Jemima have hereunto set their hands and Seals the day and year first above written..

            At a Court held for Granville County 20th. June 1758.

Robert Callor acknowledged this Deed to be his Act & deed & on Motion it was Ordered to be Registered provions to which Jemima wife of the sd. Robert, she being first privately Examined by Philemon Hawkins Esqr. appointed for that purpoòe by the Court relinquiòhed her right of dower in the Lands by this Deed conveyed which was also Ordered to be Registered.  Teste Danl. WILLIAM HUTCHINS to ROBERT CALLOR- 1757

 
13 December 1757 - 587 acres from William Hutchins to Robert Callor on Owen's Creek in Granville County, NC; subsequently in Bute County, NC and finally in Warren County, NC.
 

This Indenture made this 13th day of Decr in the year of our Lord one thouòand seven hundred & fifty seven between William Hutchins of the one part & Robert Callor of the other part 

Witnesseth that the sd Wm Hutchins for & in consideration of the sum of forty pounds Virginia by him the sd Robert Callor to him the sd Wm Huchins in hand paid before the inòealing & delivery hearof the receit whereof he the sd Hutchings doth acknowledge & thereof doth acquit & discharge the sd Callor his heirs Exrs & Admrs haith granted bargained surveyed & confirmed & by theòe preòents doth sell unto the sd Callor his heirs & Aòsines forever five hundred & eighty seven acres of land situate lying & being in the County of Granville 

Beginning on Owens Creek @ Jas. Hackneys corner tree & in the Governors line thence by the Gover line So.45°.2. go po. to a Hiccory then 2.320 po by Callors line to a Hiccory then No.256po. to a red Oak then West 323. croòsing the sd Creek to a white Oak in Hackneys line then by his line to the begining which land was granted to the sd Hutchings by a deed from my lord Granvilles Office bearing date the fourth day of November 1757 & the Revertion & Revertions Remainder & Remainds Rents Ishews & shares & profits thereof & of every part & porfit thereof with the appurtenances 

To have and to hold the sd usòuage tract or parsil of land with the appurtenances unto the sd Robert Callur his heirs & Aòines to the only proper uòe & behoof of him the sd Callur his heairs & Aòines for ever & the sd Wm Huchings his heairs & Exrs the sd tract of land with the appurtenances unto the sd Callur his heairs & Aòines shall & will warant && for ever defend by theòe preòent agr the claims or demand of him the sd Huchings his heairs or Exrs or any other peròon or persons whatsoever & the sd Wm Hutchings for himself his heairs or Exrs & Admrs doth covenant promiòe & agree to & with the sd Robert Callur his heairs or Exrs Admrs or Aòines that the provinces & every part thereof are free & already discharged from all waiver of incumbrances & that the sd Callur his heairs Exrs or Aòines for & notwithstanding any act or thing by him the sd Huchings or any other person committed don or suffered shall or lawfully may or ever hereafter have held uòe occupy poòseòs & injoy & every part thereof with the appurtenances with the lawful lott of molestation evition of him the sd Huchings his heairs or Exrs or any other person whatsoever
