STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA,
WARREN COUNTY.
To any Regular Minister of the Gospel of whatever Denomination, or any Justice of the
Peace of said County, Greeting:
You, or either of you, are hereby authorized and empowered to solemnize the
RITES OF MATRIMONY between Mr Nathaniel S Hawks, son of Frederick Hawks
and Susan Hawks, and Miòs Catharine W Hicks daughter of John Hicks and Rowan Hicks
and join them together as man and wife.
Witness, WILLIAM A. WHITE, Clerk of the County Court, at office in Warrenton, this 22nd day of November, in the ninety Second year of American Independence, A. D., 1867.

Warren County.
}
 

Know all men by these presents, that we, John Hicks & Saml Walker
are held and firmly bound unto the State of North Carolina, in the sum of Five Hundred
Pounds, current Money, to be paid to the said State, for the which payment well and truly
to be made and done, we bind ourselves, our Heirs, Executors and Administrators jointly
and severally, firmly by these presents, sealed with our seals, and dated this 24 day of
Nov A. D. 1840

The condition of the above Obligation is such, that whereas the above bounden John
Hicks – have made application for a License of Marriage to be celebrated between him
and Roan Paschall – of the county aforesaid –

Now, in case it shall not appear hereafter, that there is any lawful cause or impediment
to obstruct the said Marriage, then the above obligation to be void: otherwise to remain
in full force and virtue.

Perdue and Mrs. Catharine W Hawks daughter of John Hicks and Roan Hicks and
join them together as Man and Wife.
In Witness Whereof I, ISHAM H. BENNETT, Register of Deeds for the County aforesaid, have hereunto set my hand, at office, this 8 day of December, A. D., 1871

are held and firmly bound unto William Hawkins Eóquire, Governor, &c. or his
Successors in Office, in the full óum of Five Hundred Pounds, current Money, to be paid
to the óaid Governor, his Successors or A
óóigns, for the which Payment well and truly
to be made and done, we bind ouróelves, our Heirs, Executors and Adminiótrators,
jointly and óeverally by theóe preóents, óealed with our Seals, and dated this 26th day
of August Anno Domini 1813

     the Condition of the above Obligation is óuch, that whereas the above bounden
John Pardue
hath made application for a License of Marriage to be celebrated between
him and Elby Duty of the County aforeóaid:  Now, in Caóe it óhall not appear
hereafter, that there is any lawful Cauóe or Impediment to obótruct the óaid Marriage,
then the above obligation to be void; otherwióe to remain in full Force and Virtue.

are held and firmly bound unto the State of North Carolina, in the sum of Five Hundred
Pounds, current Money, to be paid to the said State, for the which payment well and truly
to be made and done, we bind ourselves, our Heirs, Executors and Administrators jointly
and severally, firmly by these presents, sealed with our seals, and dated this 19th day of
December – A. D. 1842.
The condition of the above Obligation is such, that whereas the above bounden Thos.
Pardue – haves made application for a License of Marriage to be celebrated between him
and Martha E. Young – of the county aforesaid –
Now, in case it shall not appear hereafter, that there is any lawful cause or impediment to
obstruct the said Marriage, then the above obligation to be void: otherwise to remain in
full force and virtue.
