May Ct. 1798. ARTHUR LAUGHTER (age 5, base born child of BETSY LAUGHTER) bound to JOHN RANDOLPH, to be a shoemaker.

Aug. Ct. 1798. POLLY OSWALD, bound to CHARLES WHITE & SALLY his wife to be taught to be a Spinster.

Aug. Ct. 1798. GREEN OSWALD, bound to PHILEMON HAWKINS, son of JOHN HAWKINS, until of lawful age.
[note: these previous 2 apprenticeships some records show the surname as ORSTWALL, rather than OSWALD]

Nov. Ct. 1798. NANCY DAVIS & CATHERINE DAVIS bound to MARY WILLIAMSON, until age 18, to be taught the trade of Spinsters.

Nov. Ct. 1798. BETSY GRAY (orphan of WILLIAM GRAY bound to HARDAWAY HARTON to be taught as a spinster.

Feb. Ct. 1799. CLAIBORN MILLS (mulatto, base born child of SARAH MILLS) bound to JOHN MOORE to be taught planter's trade (removed from bond with WILLIAM BALLARD). MOORE was ordered in May 1800 & June 1803 to show cause why MILLS should not be removed from his care; no further record after that.

Aug. Ct. 1799. SARAH SCOTT (age 10, orphan of WILLIAM SCOTT) bound to THOMAS HERRIN, until age 21, to be taught as a spinster.

Aug. Ct. 1799. RAINEY FLOOD (base born child of Nancy Flood) bound to WILLIAM SMITH until age 21.

Aug. Ct. 1799. CLATON LAMBERT (9 yrs old next October, base born child of MARY LAMBERT) bound to JAMES CALVARD, until age 21.

Nov. Ct. 1799. POLLY BALLARD (base born child of SARAH BALLARD), bound to GEORGE TOSS.

Nov. Ct. 1799. JOSHUA MASON (mulatto child, 6 months old) bound to JOHN SIMMS.
