Know all men by these presents that we JAMES KING, col. ALEXANDER BENNETT and THOMAS D. RODWELL, are held and firmly bound unto the State of North Carolina in the sum of two hundred dollars, for the payment whereof we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators. Sealed with our seals, and dated this the 26th day of May A.D. 1868.
Whereas the said JAMES KING, col., stands charged with the maintenance of a bastard child, begotten by him upon the body of MARTHA WRIGHT, col, of said County. Now the condition of this obligation that if they said JAMES KING shall perform the order of the Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions of said County concerning the maintenance of said child, and indemnify the said County from any and all charges for the maintenance of the same then the said obligations is to be void, otherwise to remain in full force and effect.

Bastardy Bond for CUFFEE MAYHO to FRANCES HAMILTON

State of North carolina
Warren County

Know all men by thes presents that we CUFFEE MAYHO, & GEORGE WORTHAM all of the County of and State aforesaid, are held and jointly bound unto HENRY FITTS Chairman & other Justices of the Peace of the aforesaid, in the sum of fifty pounds current money of the state aforesaid; To which payment will and truly to be made we bind ourselves, our heirs &c jointly and severally firmly by these presents, Sealed with our Seals and dated this 28th day of May Anno Domini 1822.
The condition of the above obligated is such that whereas the certain CUFFEE MAYHO is charged with having a certain illegitimate child, begotton on the body of FRANCES HAMILTON. Now if the said CUFFEE MAYHO his Heirs, Exc'rs &c Shall provide for the support and maintenance of the said child to the indemnification of the County of Warren aforesaid, and shall perform such order as the Court shall from time to time make in the premisses, then this obligation to be void otherwise to remain in full force & virtue. Executed in open Court.
