Warren Co., NC, Will Book 15, p. 158-159 Warren County Medicus Alston We the subscribers being at the house of Mrs. Martha Alston on the morning of the 26th of December 1809 then and their being called upon by Medicus Alston to take notice that it was his will & desire that his mother Martha Alston should have and hold all his Estate both real & personal after paying his just debts and further it was his desire that all the lower end of his land with his crop & stock of every description reserving to his mother her thirds of the land should be sold and the money arising there from should be appropriated to the payment of his debts or as much thereof or as much, thereof as is necessary. Witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands & seals this 27th Dec. 1809. H. G. Williams {seal}
Warren County Feby Court 1810 This nuncupative will of Medicus Alston deceased was proved in Open Court by the oaths of H. G. Williams & Thos Mayfield and ordered to be recorded. Test MDuke Johnson CCC
