It have having occurred to me after signing the above will that it would be more advantageous that the Negroes belonging to my wife Elizabeth & daughter Charity D. W. Alston should be kept together & worked for their mutual interest each one drawing the profits in proportion to the lands they may work.  I hereby request that it may be so managed by my Executor that this codicil should in no manner affect the validity of the above will. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this 21st Nov Anno Domini 1810.
