Pamlico Co., NC Cemeteries

West Branch Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery

The church is on the outskirts of Bayboro,  NC in a very small community of farmers (Credles, Himbrys, Fishers and Gibbs).  It is the final resting place for most of the Credles and its extended families. The church experienced a period on inactivity for many years, until invigorated by its current pastor Reverend Tony Credle.  Tony is the great-grandson of James O. Credle, one of the first farmers of the county.  Reverend Credle has stimulated the community and now the church represents one of the largest congregations in Pamlico County.  Cemetery information submitted by Ray Credle.  See Find-A-Grave for some photos of headstones.  Death certificates sometimes call this cemetery "Credle Cemetery" and "Garfield Credle, Sr. Cemetery"
