John Riley Hopkins House

John Riley Hopkins (1889-1973) and his wife, Amanda Carawan Hopkins (1892-1979), standing on the porch, man on the right is unknown.  Charlie Roberson Spain (1888-1980) built this house on the north side of Middle Bay Road in 1905 and sold it to John Hopkins, who moved it across the road and built on to it.


Photo taken in 2001.  The one-story rear kitchen ell at the back of the house is the same building built by Charlie Spain in the top picture.
