Located in Hobucken on the southeast side of the road to
Middle Bay (Hwy 304), this one-story, frame house with shed rooms
(presently oriented at the front of the house) and with a finished attic
was built about 1890 in the Marshes. The house was moved to its present
location sometime in the early 1900s by Samuel
[Sam]
Lafayette Swindell
(1912-1999), son of Andrew Jackson Swindell (1872-1932) and
Julia Marie Sawyer Swindell (1881-1963). Julia Swindell lived in this
house until her death. After her death, Sam Swindell continued to live in
the house.
