. . . . . In the name of God Amen, I, B.B. CARAWAN of Pamlico County, state of North Carolina. Being weak in body but, of sound mind and memory and understanding, praise be to God the same to make this my last will and testament in the matter and form following:
. . . . . I hereby devise and bequeath to my beloved mother, DORCAS JANE CARAWAN, her heirs and assigns forever, all my property both real and personnel and mixed of whatever nature or kind. And whatsoever which shall be at my death.
. . . . . I do nominate, constitute and appoint my beloved mother DORCAS JANE CARAWAN, sole executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all others and every wills at any time heretofore made by me and do declare this to be my last will and testament.
. . . . . In witness, I B.B. CARAWAN here unto set my hand this 16th day of August 1878.
