This INDENTURE made this 5th day of February in the year of our Lord 1818 between Isham Hailey 
planter of the county of Richmond ans State of North Carolina of the one part and John Haily of the 
County of Anson and state aforesaid of the other part WITNESSETH for and in consideration of the true 
love and affection that I Isham Hailey as a father has for my said son John Hailey doth this day give 
grandt and confirm and convey unto him the said John Hailey my son his heirs and assigns forever one 
half of all my right title claim and interest whatsoever or in any wise appertaining to the fishery 
on the Island known by the name Slones Island in the Pee Dee River Anson County and State aforesaid 
for in forever defend against myself my heirs and assigns or against any person for or persons claiming 
under or through me unto my son John Haily his heirs and assigns in Witness whereof I have hereunto 
set my hand and seal the day and year above written.

Anson Jany. Term 1821. Then the within deed was duly proven in open court by John Permenter and ordered 
to be registered.
