Currie-Dawkins Cemetery

Based on a military map, the burial plot is located in the northern most corner of Camp Millstone (depicted by a shadowy area) along Millstone Creek at grid 17SPU20578061. There was only one headstone (which seemed quite new) and four natural stones which seemed to mark each corner of the plot. It contained only the information I listed above. David Cobbler

1.  WILLIAM1 DAWKINS died Bef. 1850.  He married DELILAH BARBER.  She was born 1775, 
and died Aft. 1860 in North Carolina.

Generation No. 2

2.  MASTIN2 DAWKINS (WILLIAM1) was born 1813.  He married ISABELLA.  She was born 1821.

Notes for MASTIN DAWKINS:
The 1850 Census of Richmond County, Fairground District shows Mastern (Mastin) 37, farmer 
with Isabella 29, Catherine 7 and Sarah 4 yrs. Also in this residence is Samuel Dawkins 44, 
William 42 and Delily 75. ( May be Mastin's brothers and his mother)

The 1860 Census of Richmond County, Steeles District, Bostic's Mills Mastin Dawkins 47; 
Isabella 42; Mary C. 16; Sarah 14; Samuel 50; William 48 and Delila 77 (probably closer to 85)

The 1870 Census of Richmond County, Beaver Dam Township, Rockingham shows Mastin 57; Frances 34; 
Sarah J. 22 and Presley 1 yr. Also in this residence is Frances Crabtree 22, white field hand, 
and Caroline Blue 15 black field hand.

The 1880 Census of Richmond County, Beaver Dam Township shows Hector B. Currie 47; Sarah J. 34 wife; 
Nancy  6 daughter; John D. 3 son and Duncan C. 6 mos. son. Living next door are Frances Dawkins 31, 
Presley C. 20 son; Mastin H. 8 son, Louisa 6 daughter and Frances 3 daughter. 
	
Children of MASTIN DAWKINS and ISABELLA are:
	i.	MARY CATHERINE3 DAWKINS, b. 1843.
3.	ii.	FRANCES DAWKINS, b. 1846.
4.	iii.	SARAH JANE DAWKINS, b. 1848.
