GREENE CEMETERY

Greene Cemetery is located on Green Road west of Ellerbe, off Cartledge Creek Road, in the Steeles township. It was called loop road on some old maps, but Green road on newer maps. There is a Greene Cemetery sign on the west side of the road, showing where to turn on the dirt road. Then immediately turn right on another dirt road with another Greene Cemetery sign attached to the gate across the road. The cemetery is at the top of the hill. It is well kept, mowed, etc. Some people have Greene with "e" on the end of their name, and others are Green. A few others besides the Green family are buried there... Sandra Elliott
Myrtle, The Greene Cemetery is on land owned by Donald M. McIntyre, inherited from his mother, Sena Greene McIntyre. She is the daughter of Braxton Bragg Greene who is buried here.
