A message from the Senate, proposing to enter forthwith into an election for Directors of the Insane Asylum, 
which was agreed to, and the House proceeded with the election. 
	The following gentlemen were elected as Directors:

Joseph B. Cherry, of Bertie
D. T. Tayloe, of Beaufort
Dr. Charles Skinner, of Warren 
John A. Taylor, of New Hanover
Moses A. Bledsoe, of Wake
William R. Cox, of Wake
Walter L. Steele, of Richmond 
S. E. Williams of Caswell County.
