Sela, a Negro woman belonging to Mrs. Jane Gathings, of Union county, N. C., died on the 12th ult., aged 110 years. She was a grown woman in the Revolutionary war, and had three children when independence was declared. She enjoyed remarkably good health and retained the faculties of her mind up to the time of her death. Her conversation was interesting and instructive. She was a consistent member of the Baptist Church and died in the triumphs of the Christian faith.
