Feb’y the 17th 1812 No. 184
This Indenture made this sixth day of November the
year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred seven
between Andrew McMurry of the County of Rutherford &
State of North Carolina of the one part & William
Fortune Jun’r of the County & State aforesaid of the
other part Witnessseth that for & in consideration
of the sum of three hundred dollars to him in hand
paid by the said Wm. Fortune the receipt & payment
whereof is hereby acknowledged have bargained & sold
& by these presents do bargain sell & convey unto
the said Wm. Fortune his heirs & assings & forevr
two certain tracts pieces or parcels of land
containing one hundred & fifty acres more or less
situate on the East side of Robertsons Creek
beginning on a hicory Wm. Fortunes Jun’r corner
thence with his line West to the Creek thence with
the meanders of the Creek up to a little field to a
hicory Richard Fortune corner, thence with said
Fortunes line to a pine Richard Fortunes & Sam’l
Beggerstaff corner then with Sam’l McMurrys to a
post oak corner then No. 85 East 41 poles to a pine
on Benjamin Meltons line then South 60 East 36 poles
to a black gum Meltons new corner thence Nouth 55
East 60 poles to a pine then South 70 East 40 poles
to … Beggerstaffs then South 80 poles to a stake on
said line then West 72 poles to a stake on John
Noviks line then with his line Nouth 46 East 30
poles to a pine Norviks corner then West 50 poles to
the beginning which will more fully appear with the
plats thereto belonging which land together with all
& singular & every of the appendages thereunto
belonging do bind myself my heirs & assigns firmly
by these presents to warrant & defend unto the said
William Fortune Jun’r his heirs & assigns forever
from all lawful rights titles claim & whatsoever in
Witness whereof I have set my hand & affixed my seal
