MRS. ELIZABETH GOFORTH Forest City, Aug. 11, 1940- Funeral services were conducted
at the
First Methodist church here this afternoon for MRS. ELIZABETH STRADLEY GOFORTH, 36, w/o J.T. GOFORTH, Forest City business man.
Mrs. Goforth died Friday morning in the General
hospital at Spartanburg, where she had recently undergone an operation. The Rev. W. HAROLD GROCE officiated at the
funeral with burial in
Pleasant Grove cemetery.
She was a graduate of Rutherford hospital
training school for about 5 years before her marriage served as a public health nurse for
a life insurance company. She was married nine years ago .

Besides her husband, survived
by a daughter, ELIZABETH 6, parents, MR. and MRS. J.R. STRADLEY of Asheville and the following
brothers and sisters; MRS. W.L. KILPATRICH, MRS. H.B. WILSON, J.H.
and WOODROW STRADLEY of Asheville, MRS. JAMES S. SHERWOOD of Maiden,
J.R. STRADLEY JR. of Hickory and MISS CAROLYN STRADLEY of Huntington, W. Va.
