Welcome to the Vance County North Carolina Genealogy Project, a volunteer website for history and genealogy research,
we are not a part of the County Government. As with any county site in the country, it can
only be as good as the researchers who share their own
research. This can be Bible records, cemetery census
or photos, family photos, copies of Wills, early family
letters or older obituaries. Many of the early
families of Vance Co. had their roots in the parent counties
of Granville and Warren. Since the researchers in
Granville and Warren Co. have always been wonderful about
sharing data, we look forward to seeing Vance Co. grow as

the "Links" tab for a list of other resources available for Vance County research.
Don't forget that since Vance Co. was created in 1881 you should visit the
adjoining counties
for earlier records. We hope you will
