Last Will and Testament of Solomon Barnes proved February Term 1807 by the oath of William Barnes Test Wm B Lenoir C.C.

In The Name of God Amen. I Solomon Barnes Ser of the province of North Carolina and County of Wilkes planter been very Sick and week in body but in perfect mind and memory calling to mind immortallity and that it is apointed for all men once to dye Doth recommend my soul to my great God who hath giv it to me and my body to the Earth to buried in a decent form according to the dicreasion of my executors not doutting but I shall receive the same again at genarall resurrection by the mighty power of God and doth ordain Constitute and appoint my well beloved sons John Barnes and Solomon Barnes my sole executors of this my last Will and Testament and doth by these presents revoke and disannul all other writing or writings Will or Wills Testaments to the Contrary of this my last Will and Testament and as to the disposal of my worldly estate I do disposed of it in the manner and form as followath Elizabeth to my dear and beloved wife Elizabeth Barnes the plantation that I now live upon and a negrow fellow named Sam her lifetime after her death to my beloved son Peter Barnes his heirs or assings for ever Reuben Barnes to my I give and bequeath to my well beloved son Reuben Barnes a track of land containing one hundred acres joining my son John Barnes line north side to him or his heirs for ever &c My Daughter Lyda Isbell my son Charles Barnes my son George Barnes my daughter Rachel Brown desease my daughter Sarah Barnes All these has received there porshen and I cut them of with five shillings per person spa__y money Peter Barnes I give and bequath to my well beloved Son Peter Barnes a track of Land containing 186 acres Joining the tract that I now live on on the west side and a track of land containing 80 acres joining the track that I now live on on north side and 95 acres of land on the new entry joining the track that I now live on on South Side and a sertain gray mare and Colt bridle and saddle one Cow and one bead and furniture Ruth Barnes I give and Bequath to my beloved Daughter Ruth Barnes a track of land containg 64 acres joining Solomon Barnes line and 10 acres on the new servae of 50 acres joining Said Track on south side and 10 acres on the Creak of the new survae [survey] of 200 acres joining said track and young Black horse bridle and saddle and one cow and one bead and furniture Mary Carley I Give and Bequath to my beloved Daughter Mary Carley one Cow or Ten Dollors Solomon Barnes I give and bequath to my beloved Son Solomon Barnes 95 acres of land joining him and Ford Fortner lines of the new survae of 200 acres and 40 acres of the new servae of 50 acres joining Roberson track of land John Barnes I give and bequath to my beloved son John Barnes one Cow and one bead and furniture Elizabeth Barnes To my dear beloved wife Elizabeth Barnes the parfonal [personal] Estate over and above the fore mintioned [aforementioned] legacies that itsShall be hers till her Disease Signed Sealed and acknowledged in presence of us Henery (his X mark) Mundy William (his X mark) Barnes (Jurat) John Barnes.
