Elks of Albemarle County in the province of Carolina being sicke & weake in
Body, but of sound and perfect memory. Glory be the Lord I do make this my last
Will and Testament in manner and form followings
I comit & somond my soul unto God the great Creator of all
things; in hope of Eternall life & salvation, through the marvils of salifason
(salvation) of the Lord Jesus Christ my Saviour. And my Body to the Earth from
Whom it came until the resurrection all the great Day.
My (?) all Goods wch the Lord in (Mercy) bestowed upon me I
give and bequeath unto

Darby first my plantation lying upon Yawpin River, with all my personal
Estate whatsoever it lyes on son fifteth in Negros, Goods, chattels,cattles,
honfs, hold..debts,..sums of money or any other thing whatsoever appointing the
William Darby to pay all my just Debts, whom I also Constitute and make my sole
and absolute Executor of this my last will & Testament revoking & exonorating
all former wills made by me whatsoever. In Witness hereof I have here unto set my
hand & Seal this
