Jesper Hardison of ye
County of Albemarle~ Planter being Very Sick and Weak in Body but of Perfect
mind & Memory thanks be given to God for Therefore Calling Unto Mind the
Mortality of my Body and knowing that is Apointed for all men once to Dye Do
Make and Ordain this my Last will and Testament that is to Say Principally &
first of all I give & Recommend my Soul unto ye hands of Almighty God who
gave it and my body recomend to the Earth to be buried in Decent Christian
Burial at the Discresion of my Executors nothing Doubting but at the
Gernerall Resurection Shall Receive the Same again by the Mighty power of
god and as touching Such Worldly Affairs & Efsate wherewith it hath pleased
god to bless me in this Life I Give Devise and Dispose of the Same in the
following manner and form
I give and
bequeath to my well and Dearly beloved Wife Mary Hardison Negro and all
my Goods and Chattel & all and Singular Debts and Moveable Estates Excepting
what is hereundor mencioned.
I give and
bequeath to John Hardison a tract of Land Containing 640 acres on
South Side of Loop. 1 horse 1 Dish a bason a café of bottles 1 pot.
Imprimis: to Mary Carkeet Cow and Calf.
Impimis: I
give and bequeath to Judah Sutton Fifty pound
Current money of Carolina and a mare Branded B
Imprimis: to Jasper Hardison my Son a parcel Contain 200 acres on
Cheat Neck
Imprimis: to Charles Hardison a piece of Land Called Cheat Neck Island
Imprimis: to Joshua Hardison and Tho: Hardison a parcel of Land from ye upper part of
Mr.
Carkeats Line to Cheat Neck Branch
Imprimis: to Richard Hardison and Joseph Hardison the plantation and ? part of Land after
Deceass of my beloved Wife known by the name of Roses Plantation

my Beloved wife Mary Hardison and John my Son to be whole and sole Exectutors of this my
Last Will and testament and allowing this this my
Last will and Testament in Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
Seal the Date and your over wishes.
