White, published 1926<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"\/alexander\/york-collegiate-institute\/\">York Collegiate Institute<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hiddenitegems.com\/\">Emerald Hollow Gem Mine<\/a> in Hiddenite is a favorite for rock hounds from throughout the nation. \u00a0Precious stones and gems such as emeralds, sapphires, garnets, smoky quartz, tourmaline, clear quartz, aquamarine, sillimanite, monazite and rutile may be found at the mine. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hiddenitecenter.com\/\">Hiddenite Center<\/a> is an educational and exhibition center for the area.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncagr.gov\/NCproducts\/ShowSite.asp?ID=2595\">Ginger Creek Vineyards<\/a> has been owned by the Austin family since 1780.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/linneysmill.com\/\">Linney&#8217;s Mill<\/a> is one of the few fully operational and producing mills in existence in North Carolina. You can see the mill operate and make purchases from the Mill Store. Linney\u2019s Mill has been producing corn meal with water-wheel powered grinding stones for about 67 years. W.L.
