Tombstone of Lester Brown
(b. 1883 - d. Mar 10, 1955)
Buried at the Jerusalem Baptist Church
Lester Brown's tombstone is located at the Jerusalem Baptist Church directly off to the left side of the church. Per family history, it was his request to be buried on this site. This site is not a cemetery and his burial is the only identified one on the side of the church.
Lester Brown is the son of Stephen Brown and Pricilla Chancy from Carvers Creek.
He married Lucinda Meares, daughter of Isaac Meares and Mary Chancy Meares from Columbus County, NC on March 28, 1906 in Columbus County, NC.
His children were: Fernie Edward Brown, Sr., Samuel Lester Brown, James Thomas Brown, and Priscilla Patricia Brown.
