Lucinda Meares
Lucy Meares was born in 1879 in Waccamaw Township, Columbus County. She is the daughter of Isaac B. Meares, Sr. (born 1829) and Mary Chancy Meares(born 1849 died March 31, 1916). Lucy died February 13, 1914 in White's Creek Township in Bladen County, North Carolina. Cause of death unknown.
She married Lester Brown March 28, 1906 in Columbus County, North Carolina.
According to her son, the late Fernie Edward Brown, Sr., she is buried in a field near the Carvers Creek AME Zion Church in Carvers Creek, NC.
