Mary Ann Morse Administration Bond Given at June Term 1848

State of North Carolina
Know all men by these presents that we Mary Ann Morse, Samuel Langdon and ? B Everitt are held and firmly bound unto the State of North Carolina in the sum of eight hundred dollars to be paid to the said state. To the which payment well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executes and administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents.
Sealed with our seals, and dated this 5th day of June 188(.)

The condition of the above obligation is such, that if the above bound Mary Ann Morse, Administratrix of all and singular the goods and chattels, rights and credits of Bryan Morse deceased, do make or cause to be made, a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the goods and chattels, rights and credits of the said deceased, which have or shall come to the hands, possession of knowledge of the said Mary Ann Morse or in the hands and possession of any other person or persons for her and the same so made, do exhibit or cause to be exhibited one attested copy thereof, to the county court where orders for administration passed, within ninety days after the date of these presents; and the same goods, chattels and credits and all other the goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased, at the time of his death, or which at any time after shall come to the hands or possession of the said Mary Ann Morse or into the hands or possession of any other person or persons for her do well and truly administer according to law, and further do make or cause to be made, a true and just account of her said administration within two years after the date of these presents; and all the rest and residue of the said goods, chattels and credits, which shall be found remaining upon the said administration account, (the same being first examined and allowed by the county court,) shall deliver and pay to such person or persons respectively, as the same shall be due unto, pursuant to the true intent and meaning of this. And if it shall appear that any last Will and Testament was made by the deceased, and the executor or executors therein named do exhibit the same into court, making request to have it allowed and approved of accordingly; if the said Mary Ann Morse above bounded, being thereunto required, do render and deliver the said Letters of Administration, (approbation of such testament being first had and made in the said court) then this obligation to be void and of no effect, or else to remain in full force and virtue.

Francis Morse Bond as Administrator de bonis non of Bryan Morse given at Sept Term 1849

Know all men by these presents that we Frances Morse & J B Everitt & S N Galloway are held and firmly bound unto the State of North Carolina in the sum of four hundred dollars to be paid to the said state. To the which payment well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executes and administrators, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents.

Mary Ann Morse Petition for Year's Allowance filed June Term 1848

To the worshipful the Justices of the said court.

The petition of Mary Ann Morse ? presents to your worships that Bryan Morse the husband of your petitioner departed this life into late sometime in the year 1848 leaving your petitioner his widow.
Your petitioner prays your worships to appoint a justice of the peace and therefore holding(?) to allot and appoint to your ? a suitable and adequate allowance for the appoint of herself and family for one year out of the estate of the said Bryan Morse and that they make up part to the next term of this court under their hands and seals.
