I\u00a0<strong>DANIEL CARTWRIGHT<\/strong>\u00a0of the County &amp; State aforesaid being of perfect sound disposing mind &amp; memory thanks be to God do make this my Last Will &amp; Testament in the following manner (to Wit.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Item 1<sup>st<\/sup>. I give unto my Wife<strong>\u00a0POLLY CARTWRIGHT<\/strong>\u00a0all the property that she had at the time of our marriage that I could have taken or been benefited by, unto her &amp; her heirs forever.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Item 2d. I give devise &amp; bequeath, unto my Son\u00a0<strong>NEILSON CARTWRIGHT\u00a0<\/strong>a small piece of land containing about eight acres more or less lying on the east side of the main road &amp; in the north side of a large ditch, beginning at the road, at the arch over said ditch then binding said ditch to JAMES O. (Carteneg is marked out) SMITH\u2019S line, then binding JAMES O. SMITH land to the road, then binding the road to the first station. Also negro boy John, the one half of negro Ceasar, one feather bed &amp; furniture, one gun, one riding chair &amp; harness, one beaufat, one hand mill, one bay horse, two hundred dollars in promissory notes, which is on hand to him &amp; his heirs forever.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Item 3d. I give, devise &amp; bequeath unto my Son\u00a0<strong>JAMES CARTWRIGHT<\/strong>\u00a0all the remainder part of my lands, also negro Isaac, the one half of negro Ceasar, one walnut dining table, one large looking glass, one feather bed &amp; furniture, one mare, bridle &amp; sadle, one gun to him &amp; his heirs forever.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Item 4<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0I give unto my Daughter\u00a0<strong>POLLY SMITH<\/strong>, one cow &amp; calf &amp; all the property I have heretofore given, that she has in her possession to her &amp; her heirs forever.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Item 5<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0I give unto my Daughter\u00a0<strong>BETSEY RICHARDSON<\/strong>, one cow &amp; calf &amp; all the property heretofore given her which she has in possession to her &amp; her heirs forever.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">Item 6<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0I give all the remainder of my property not heretofore given away to my two Sons<strong>\u00a0NIELSON CARTWRIGHT<\/strong>\u00a0&amp;\u00a0<strong>JAMES CARTWRIGHT<\/strong>\u00a0to be equally divided between them share &amp; share alike after paying all my debts, to them &amp; their heirs forever.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\">I hereby nominate &amp; appoint <strong>GEO. GEREBEE<\/strong> and my Son<strong>\u00a0NEILSON CARTWRIGHT\u00a0<\/strong>Executors to this my Last Will &amp; Testament hereby revoking all wills or bequeaths heretofore made. In testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand &amp; seal this 25<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0day of August in the year of our Lord Eighteen Hundred &amp; nineteen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif\"><strong>D.
