Captured at Roanoke Island on 2\/8\/1862, and paroled at\u00a0\u00a0Elizabeth City on 2\/21\/1862. Exchanged on 8\/1862. Present until wounded at\u00a0\u00a0Morris Island SC. Transferred to Navy by special Order 309\/2 on 12\/30\/1863\u00a0 (interesting and I am searching for the order with no luck in DC on microfilm). Rejoined the 8 Reg&#8217;t. Company A in Nov.\/Dec 1863 until killed\u00a0near Drewry&#8217;s Bluff, VA on 5\/14\/1864.\u00a0 Write-up form Vol 4, page 528,\u00a0of North Carolina Troops, 1861-1865 A Roster dated 1973 from NC Archives in\u00a0Raleigh.
