The Last Will and Testament of<\/span><\/p>\n

THOMAS WRIGHT<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

1825<\/span><\/p>\n

In the name of God amen. I Thomas Wright<\/strong> of the county of Camden and state N. Carolina being\u00a0<\/span>weak in body but of sound mind and memory blessed be God, do this nineteenth day of December\u00a0<\/span>one thousand eight hundred and twenty four make and publish this my last will and testament\u00a0<\/span>in manner following, that is to say.<\/span><\/p>\n

I bequeath my friend Stephen S. Snowden<\/strong> and his wife Pressilla Snowden<\/strong> all my land and\u00a0<\/span>plantation and one negro boy by the name of Luke and one negro man by the name of George\u00a0<\/span>during their life and no longer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Item: My will and desire is that after the death of my friend Stephen S. Snowden<\/strong> and his wife\u00a0<\/span>Prisilla Snowden<\/strong>, I give and bequeath unto Lydia Snowden<\/strong> daughter of Stephen S. Snowden<\/strong> all\u00a0my land and plantation to her and her heirs forever.<\/span><\/p>\n

Item: My will and desire is that after the death of my friend Stephen S. Snowden<\/strong> and his wife<\/span>
\n Prisilla Snowden<\/strong> I give and bequeath unto Lydia Snowden<\/strong> daughter of Stephen S. Snowden<\/strong> one\u00a0<\/span>negro man George to her and her heirs forever.<\/span><\/p>\n

Item: Also my will and desire is that after the death of my friend Stephen S. Snowden<\/strong> and\u00a0<\/span>his wife Prisilla Snowden<\/strong>, I give and bequeath unto Lydia Snowden<\/strong> daughter of Stephen S.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>Snowden<\/strong> one negro boy by the name of Luke to her and her heirs forever.<\/span><\/p>\n

Item: I give and bequeath unto my aunt Prisilla Snowden<\/strong> wife of Stephen S. Snowden<\/strong> one horse\u00a0bridle and saddle and ___ to her and her heirs.<\/span><\/p>\n

And I hereby make and ordain my worthy friends Stephen S. Snowden<\/strong> and Samuel Phillips<\/strong><\/span>
\n executors of this my last will and testament in witness I said Thomas Wright<\/strong> have to this my\u00a0<\/span>last will and testament set my hand and signed this day and year above written.<\/span><\/p>\n

This will of Thomas Wright<\/strong> dec\u2019d was exhibited in open court and ___ as the last will and\u00a0<\/span>testament of said dec\u2019d unto the persons ___ and as farther (he being an infant under the age\u00a0<\/span>of twenty one ___ by the oaths of John Right<\/strong> and John W. Berry<\/strong> ___ ___ ___ thereto and S. S. Snowden<\/strong>\u00a0one of the executors therein named ___ and qualified as executor thereto.<\/span><\/p>\n
