Deed book &#8220;U&#8221;, page 133<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium\">7<sup>th<\/sup> May 1829<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium\">This Indenture made this seventh day of May one thousand eight hundred and twenty nine between William Wright of the county of Camden &amp; state of North Carolina on the part and Arthur Gregory of the county and state aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that I the said William Wright for and consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to me in hand paid before the sealing and delivering thereof have given, granted, bargained and sold a certain piece or parcel of land lying and being in the county and state aforesaid beginning as follows at a chinquopin post on the main road Caleb Barnards corner thence westwardly to Levi Wright\u2019s dec\u2019d line thence binding Thomas Willliams land&amp; Enoch Sawyer heirs line to Gideon Cartwrights line thence down said Cartwrights line to the main road thence binding the main road to the first station containing by estimation 50 acres by the same more or less the title of which I the said William Wright do warrant and forever defend from me, my heirs and assigns and from the lawful claims of all and every person whatsoever to him the said Arthur Gregory his heirs and assigns forward. Witness whereof I the said William Wright have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and date above written Camden county court February 7, 1832.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium\">William Wright (his seal)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Signed in presence of H. Williams<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium\">The deed of bargain &amp; sale from William Wright was exhibited and proved in open court by oath of H. Williams ordered registered.
