9. Jasper WILSON [See Note 1]was born on 24 Feb
1831 in Lincoln (Catawba County), North Carolina. Jasper
WILSON and Octavia NORWOOD were married on 5 Jul 1855.
He appeared in the census in 1860 in Catawba Station
Twp., Catawba, North Carolina as follows:12

Jasper Wilson served in the Confederate States Army as
a Capt. in the 89th Regiment, NC Troops, a reserve unit.
Jasper Wilson, his wife Octavia and her sister, Rebecca
Norwood, migrated from Catawba County in November 1868,
settling in Jefferson Co Kansas in November 1868 where he
probably died.
Note 1:
While looking for Jasper Wilson who married Octavia A. Norwood in
1855 and their family, I found them in the 1870 Kentucky, Jefferson
Co., KS census. Right above them were Walter H. Clark, Almena
Clark, Larena Clark, Mary Clark, Jacob Clark. I believe that Jacob
Benjamin was his real name and his nickname was Berdie. Even
Almena's sister, Frances, and their mother, Mary, were also there in
1870.

Almena Clark, age 32, born about 1838 in NC
Larena (should be Lorena) Clark, age 3, born about 1867 in NC
