McCorkle. and his wife had lived in Tyler, Texas for 43 years (since 1889) and had been married 57 years come December 26. The McCorkle family in Tyler were highly regarded in the community.

He was married to Emma Bell "Molly" HICKLE on 26 Dec 1875 in Near Houston, TX. Emma Bell "Molly" HICKLE was born on 14 Sep 1861 in Near Houston, TX. She died on 21 May 1935 in Tyler, Smith, TX. . William Henry McCORKLE and Emma Bell "Molly" HICKLE had the following children:
