His obituary appeared as follows: MAIDEN - Floyd Cline Drum, 89, of Maiden, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005, at Abernethy Laurels in Newton. Born Jan. 28, 1915, in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Robert Monroe and Laura Cline Drum. He was a lifelong member of Mount Ruhama Baptist Church and was a former deacon. He was a member of the Catawba Masonic Lodge in Newton for 57 years and was formerly employed at Everett Chevrolet in the parts department. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Laura White Drum; and a brother, Ewell Drum. He is survived by a son and daughter- in-law, Floyd Jr. and Sandra Drum of Lancaster, S.C.; a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Emil Dixon of Newton; three sisters, Margaret Drum Warren and husband, Conley, Christine Drum Mayberry and Betty Drum Isaac and husband, Ken, of Newton; two grandsons, Jody and wife, Sheree Dixon, of Newton and Robert Drum of Lancaster, S.C.; two granddaughters, Julie Dixon of Newton and Dawn and husband, Kent Killough, of Lancaster, S.C.; and two great-granddaughters, Harper Dixon of Newton and Gracie Killough of Lancaster, S.C. The funeral service will be held today, Friday, Jan. 28, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Mount Ruhama Baptist Church in Maiden, with the Revs. Guy Helms and Larry Burns officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 1 to 1:45 p.m. in the church fellowship hall at Mount Ruhama Baptist Church in Maiden. The Masons will serve as pallbearers, and his Sunday school class and teacher at Mount Ruhama Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers. Memorials may be made to Gideons International, P.O.
