4750. Willard "Fim" LEE was born on 18 May 1922 in Catawba County, North Carolina. He died on 23 April 2005 at the age of 82 in Frye Regional Medical Center, Hickory, Catawba County, NC. He was buried in Catawba Valley Baptist Church Cemetery, Maiden, North Carolina. His obituary appeared as follows: NEWTON - Willard “Fim” Lee, 82, of South Oliver’s Crossroads, Newton, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2005, at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory. Born May 18, 1922, in Catawba County, he was the son of the late William Roger and Carrie Huffman Lee. He was a member of Catawba Valley Baptist Church in Maiden and co-owner of Lee Paving. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Baby Lee; six brothers, Smith Lee, Darrell Lee, Bud Lee, B.R. Lee, Carroll Lee and Wilford “Fat” Lee; and one sister, Dot Lineberger. He is survived by his wife, Virgalene Bolick Lee of Brian Center-Viewmont; one son, Gary “Butch” and wife, Cindy Lee, of Newton; two daughters, Phyllis and husband, Jerry McWhorter, of China Grove and Renee Martin of Hickory; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2005, at 3 p.m. at Catawba Valley Baptist Church in Maiden, with the Revs. Carroll Williams and Gerald Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2 to 2:45 p.m. at Catawba Valley Baptist Church prior to the service. Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Lee, Mike Lee, Eric Lee, Ricky Lee, Steve Lee and Tommy Haire. Memorials may be made to Catawba Valley Baptist Church, 3990 Shepherd Road, Maiden, N.C. 28650. Virgalene "Virgie" Elizabeth BOLICK, daughter of Clarence Pinkney BOLICK and Sarah Daisy WITHERSPOON, was born on 14 October 1926 in Catawba County, North Carolina. She died on 21 February 2007 at the age of 80 in Brian Center, Viewmont, Catawba County, North Carolina. She was buried in Catawba Valley Baptist Church Cemetery, Maiden, North Carolina. Her obituary appeared as follows: MAIDEN - Virgalene "Virgie" Elizabeth Bolick Lee, 80, of South Olivers Crossroads, Newton, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2007, at Brian Center-Viewmont in Hickory. Born Oct. 14, 1926, in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Pinkney Bolick and Sarah Daisy Witherspoon Bolick. She was a member of Catawba Valley Baptist Church in Maiden. In addition to her parents, her husband, Willard "Fim" Lee; an infant daughter; three brothers, Cecil Bolick, Doc Bolick and Ernest Bolick; and a half sister, Lois Esterling, preceded her in death. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Gary "Butch" and Cindy Lee of Newton; two daughters, Phyllis McWhorter and Renae Martin, both of Hickory; two brothers, Neil Bolick of Cherryville and Bill Bolick of Catawba; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, 2007, at Catawba Valley Baptist Church in Maiden, with the Revs. Carroll Williams and Ernie Richards officiating. The body will be placed in the church 45 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
