3351. Clarence Luther STINE was born on 4 May 1919 in Catawba County, North Carolina. He died on 26 August 2005 at the age of 86 in Conover Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Conover, NC. He was buried in Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, Conover, North Carolina. His obituary appeared as follows: CONOVER - Clarence Luther Stine, 86, of Conover, died Friday, Aug. 26, 2005, at Conover Nursing Center. Born May 4, 1919, in Catawba County, he was the son of the late William Arthur and Maude Huffman Stine. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Conover and was a U.S. Army veteran and served during World War II. He was a retired cabinet maker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Adrian, Russell, Carroll and Claude Stine; and three sisters, Viola Hicks, Edith Brown and Lela Stine. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Charlene Travis Stine of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Frances Allen and husband, Stanley, of Conover; a son and daughter-in-law, Dwight Carroll Stine and wife, Luellen, of Charlotte; two grandsons, Travis and Nathan Stine; two sisters, Ruth Barger of Ozark, Mo., and Alice Moore and husband, C.R., of Yadkinville; and his caring family of Conover Nursing Home where he received excellent, loving care. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, 2005, at Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Justin Kane will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4:15 p.m. on Sunday at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
