She was buried in Eastview Cemetery, Newton, Catawba County, North Carolina. Her obituary appeared as follows: Mildred Rowe Bandy - 84 of the Abernethy Center in Newton, NC, formerly of West 8th Street, died Sunday, February 3, 2002 at the Abernethy Center. Born March 10, 1917 in Charlotte, NC; she was the daughter of the late Robert Herman and Mary Darlington Rowe. A member of Grace Reformed United Church of Christ, she retired as a secretary with the City of Newton. She was formerly a librarian with the Catawba County Library. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Edward Bandy, and a sister, Bobbie Wilson. Survivors include, a daughter and son-in-law, Susan B. and George M. Simmons of Blacksburg, VA; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Ann Bandy of Little River, SC and Charles and Vivian Bandy of Conover; sisters, Rosalie Harrell and Jean Gabriel both of Newton; grandchildren, Lori B. Kennedy, Teresa B. Peters, Nathan Simmons and Hayden Bandy; and 2 great grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 5, 2002 at the Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Dr. David Bowling and Rev. Fred Thompson will officiate and burial will follow in the Eastview Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. 3229	ii.	Rosalie ROWE was born on 10 April 1923 in Catawba County, North Carolina. She died on 24 June 2006 at the age of 83 in Newton, Catawba County, North Carolina. She was buried in Eastview Cemetery, Newton, Catawba County, North Carolina. Her obituary appeared as follows: NEWTON - Rosalie R. Harrell, 83, of North Deal Avenue, Newton, died Saturday, June 24, 2006, at her residence after a period of declining health. She was born April 10, 1923, in Catawba County to the late Dr. Robert H. Rowe and Mary D. Rowe. She was a member of Grace Reformed United Church of Christ, where she was active in the Women's Guild, and was a volunteer for 20 years with Eastern Catawba County Christian Ministries. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward T Harrell; and two sisters, Mildred Bandy and Bobbie Wilson. Survivors include two sons, William E. Roberts of Hickory and Edward A. Roberts of Providence, R.I.; a grandchild, Brian Lee Roberts; a sister, Jean Rowe Gabriel of Newton; and numerous nieces and nephews. A service of remembrance will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2006, at Grace Reformed United Church of Christ in Newton. The Revs. James Luck Jr. and Fred Thompson will officiate. She was buried in Eastview Cemetery, Newton, Catawba County, North Carolina. Her obituary appeared as follows: NEWTON - Jean Rowe Gabriel, 82, of Abernethy Laurels in Newton, died Sunday, April 27, 2008, at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born June 17, 1925, in Wise County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Dr. Robert Herman Rowe and Mary Darlington Rowe. She was a member of Grace Reformed United Church of Christ and retired as a nurse with Catawba Valley Medical Center. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack G. Gabriel, and three sisters, Mary Camilla Wilson, Rosalie Harrell and Mildred Bandy. Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth Campbell and husband, Wayne, of Conover, Rosie Raley and husband, Jimmy, of Cary, Helen Gabriel of Holden Beach and Anne Cansler and husband, John, of Morganton; three grandchildren, Michael Campbell and wife, Beth, Christina Campbell and Sarah Bronner and husband, Jonathan; and one great-grandchild, Jonah Campbell. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at Grace Reformed United Church of Christ. The Rev. James Luck Jr. will officiate. A private graveside service will be held in Eastview Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Wednesday Bible Study Group of Grace Reformed United Church of Christ.
