Kennedy, Teresa B. Peters, Nathan Simmons and Hayden Bandy; and 2 great grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 5, 2002 at the Willis-Reynolds Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Dr. David Bowling and Rev. Fred Thompson will officiate and burial will follow in the Eastview Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Born June 17, 1925, in Wise County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Dr. Robert Herman Rowe and Mary Darlington Rowe. She was a member of Grace Reformed United Church of Christ and retired as a nurse with Catawba Valley Medical Center. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack G. Gabriel, and three sisters, Mary Camilla Wilson, Rosalie Harrell and Mildred Bandy. Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth Campbell and husband, Wayne, of Conover, Rosie Raley and husband, Jimmy, of Cary, Helen Gabriel of Holden Beach and Anne Cansler and husband, John, of Morganton; three grandchildren, Michael Campbell and wife, Beth, Christina Campbell and Sarah Bronner and husband, Jonathan; and one great-grandchild, Jonah Campbell. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at Grace Reformed United Church of Christ. The Rev. James Luck Jr. will officiate. A private graveside service will be held in Eastview Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Wednesday Bible Study Group of Grace Reformed United Church of Christ.
