She was buried in St. Peter's Lutheran Church cemetery, north of Conover, Catawba County, NC. Ruby Killian Hedrick, 76, of 4850 Salisbury Street NE, Hickory, NC, passed away August 31, 2002 at her residence. Born June 4, 1926 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Perry Albert Killian and Claudia Herman Killian. She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Conover, NC and was employed at the NC Lutheran Home in Hickory. In addition to her parents she was preceded by her husband, Harold Eugene Hedrick, son, Danny Hedrick, sister, Macie Killian, and two brothers, Glenn Killian and Gordon Killian, and a son-in-law, John Watts.

Survivors include daughters & son-in-law, Karen Watts of Hickory, NC, and Tammy & Reggie Cloninger of Hickory, NC, son, Terry Hedrick of Hickory, NC, sister, Summa McCurry of Hickory, NC, brother, Floyd “Bud” Killian of Hickory, NC.
Grandchildren: Mrs. Michael (Dana) Wyant, Colby Cloninger, and Bailey Cloninger. Great-Grandchildren: Jonathan Wyant and Joshua Wyant.

The funeral service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2002 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. The Revs. Paul Birner and Paul Sundbom will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church one hour prior to the service.

Ruby KILLIAN and Harold Eugene HEDRICK were married estimated 1945. Harold Eugene HEDRICK was born on 15 May 1922.¹³⁹⁶ He died on 29 July 1974 at the age of 52 in Catawba County, North Carolina and was buried in St. Peter's Lutheran Church (MO Synod) Cemetery.¹³⁹⁶ He served in the military in PFC US Army.¹³⁹⁶
