3152. Mary SIMMONS was born on 22 October 1919 in Catawba County, North Carolina. She died on 18 July 2002 at the age of 82 in Conover, Catawba County, North Carolina. She was buried in St. John's Lutheran Church (MO Synod) Cemetery, Conover, Catawba County, NC. Her obituary appeared as follows: Mary Simmons Isenhour, 82, 1505 Rock Barn Road, Conover, NC died Thursday, July 18, 2002 at her residence after a period of declining health. She was born October 22, 1919 in Catawba County, daughter of the late James and Cora Brady Simmons. She was a retired employee of Southern Glove and was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Abel Isenhour, and a sister Bessie Simmons. Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law: Jerry Wayne Isenhour and wife Kathy of Hickory; daughter and son-in-law: Linda Isenhour Moore and husband Charles of Hudson; sister and brother-in-law: Lorena Hunsucker and husband Monroe of Conover; 4 grandchildren: John Andrew Isenhour; Carrie Elizabeth Isenhour; Christopher Aron Parkhurst; Brandy Marie Parkhurst; great grandchild Alexis Marie Barber; Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, July 20, 2002 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Conover. Rev. Scott Johnson will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the church services. Pallbearers will be Ernest Elliott, James Elliott, Mack Hunsucker, Fred Hunsucker, Christopher Parkhurst, and Jerry Parkhurst. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 on Friday, July 19, 2002 at Drum Funeral Home in Conover.
