2913. Ralph Eston LAIL was born on 12 July 1923 in Catawba County, North Carolina. He died on 2 August 2003 at the age of 80 in Lutheran Home West, Hickory, North Carolina. He was buried in Mount Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Conover, North Carolina. Mr. Ralph Eston Lail, 80 of Herman Sipe Road, Conover passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2003 at N.C. Lutheran Home West in Hickory. He was born July 12, 1923 in Catawba County to the late Eston Lail and Ceda Killian Lail. He was a US Army Veteran serving in WW II. He was Owner & Operator of Lail Tile Co. and a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mildred Isenhour Lail, and three brothers Roy Lail, Ken Lail and Bill Lail and one sister, Clara Lail Herman.

The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, August 8, 2003 at 4:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church. The Revs. Harold Drum, Kristine Franke Hill, and Ken Reed will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 16

Pallbearers will be Mark Moretz, Randy Lail, Jeff Starnes, Donnie Lail, David Rockett, and Jamen Smithey.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 7, 2003 at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church Family Life Center from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
