2589. Ruby Alice REITZEL was born on 18 November 1922 in Catawba County, North Carolina.¹⁶⁹² She died on 30 October 2005 at the age of 82 in Claremont, Catawba County, North Carolina. She was buried in Bethel Lutheran Church Cemetery, Catfish community, Catawba County, North Carolina. Her obituary appeared as follows: CLAREMONT - Ruby A. Hefner, 82, of Claremont, died Oct. 30, 2005, at her residence. Born Nov. 18, 1922, in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Guy Elmore and Nellie Setzer Reitzel. She was a retired supervisor from Carolina Glove Co. A lifelong member of Bethel Lutheran Church, she was a member of the Ladies Aid Society and the Wednesday Morning Bible Class. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eston Ivo Hefner; a sister, Mary Roberta Lineberger; and three brothers, Guy Odell “Chub” Reitzel, Joe Davis Reitzel and an infant, Glenn Reitzel. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy H. Boston and husband, Glenn R., and Jane H. Rader and husband, John H., of Claremont; three grandchildren, Todd Rader, Lisa Bumgarner and Donna Ross; nine great-grandchildren, Matthew, Luke and Jessie Ross, Sarah Madden, Brooke Bumgarner, Ashley Canipe and Alleshia, Allison and Abby Rader; two great-great-grandchildren, Dexter W. Canipe III and Zachary J. Henson; and a brother, Billy Pat Reitzel of Hickory. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Claremont. The Revs. Craig Schultz and Ed Meyer will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. prior to the service. "Mamie" LAIL, was born on 27 August 1914.¹⁶⁹² He died on 25 October 1983 at the age of 69 in Catawba County, North Carolina.¹⁶⁹² He was buried in Bethel Lutheran Church Cemetery, Catfish community, Catawba County, North Carolina.¹⁶⁹²
