2559. Vivian SIGMON was born on 15 December 1924 in Catawba County, North Carolina.¹⁶⁶⁸ She died on 29 January 2012 at the age of 87 in Valley Nursing Center, Taylorsville, North Carolina. Her obituary appeared as follows: CLAREMONT Vivian Sigmon Hedrick, 87, of Claremont, passed away Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, at Valley Nursing Home in Taylorsville. Mrs. Hedrick was born Dec. 15, 1924, in Catawba County, and was the daughter of the late Thomas Otis Sigmon and Clara A. Isaac Sigmon. She retired as a cloth cutter in the furniture industry and was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Claremont where she was active in the Wednesday Morning Bible Class. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Robert Preston Hedrick, Sr.; sisters, Mae Dellinger, Blanche Hollar, Rena Little, and Ruth Setzer; brothers, Glenn Sigmon, Clarence Sigmon, and Huitt Sigmon; and three infant siblings. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Preston Hedrick, Jr. and wife, Christina, of Claremont and Tommy Hugh Hedrick and wife, Frances, of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Bobby Hedrick, David Hedrick, Karen Pope, Dale Hedrick, and Jason Hedrick; step-grandchildren, Anthony Bredlove and Ginger Gromlovits; great-grand-children, Peyton, Logan, Chase, Taylor, Jadyn, Emily, Zachary, and Colby; and step-great-grand-children, Blake, Cole, Arianna, Dylan, Devon, and Hailey. A service of remembrance will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, at Bethel Lutheran Church with Revs. Craig Schultz, Eric Hollar, and Edward Meyer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service on Wednesday, Feb. 1, from 2:30 to 3:45 p.m. Pallbearers will be Bobby Hedrick, David Hedrick, Bobby Setzer, Jason Hedrick, Dale Hedrick, and Joe Sigmon.
