4916. Charlene "Chick" LITTLE was born on 13 September 1925 in Catawba County, North Carolina. She died on 12 February 2011 at the age of 85 in Brian Center East, Hickory, Catawba County, North Carolina. Her obituary appeared as follows: Charlene "Chick" Little Hollar, 85, of Conver passed away Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, at Brian Center - East in Hickory. Born Sept. 13, 1925, in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Clyde D. and Rena Sigmon Little. Charlene was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Catawba and retired from furniture work. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Leon Hollar, and two brothers, John and Dewey Little. She is survived by one son, Jerry Hollar, and wife, Jacque, of Conover; one daughter, Jerri Griffin and husband, Marshall, of Conover; three grandchildren, Michael Stewart, Tessa Stewart and Katie Luna; three great-grandchildren, Lily Stewart, Alexander Luna and Isabel Luna; one brother, J.D. Little of Conover; and three sisters, Lois Hoke, of Claremont, Josie Cordell, of Hickory, and Carolyn Clanton, of Denver. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011, at 3 p.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church in Claremont with Rev. Eric Hollar officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
