4929. Betty Coleen HOLLAR was born on 6 December 1930 in Catawba County, North Carolina.1691 She died on 18 July 2012 at the age of 81 in Akron, Summit, Ohio. Her obituary appeared as follows: STONY POINT Betty Hollar Thomas Moore, 81, of Claremont, passed away in Akron, Ohio, surrounded and cared for by her family Wednesday, July 18, 2012. Born Dec. 6, 1930, she was the daughter of the late George and Blanche (Sigmon) Hollar. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, George (Bubby) Thomas; sister, Georgia Ruth; and brother, Lloyd (Babe) Hollar. She is survived by daughter, Janet Thomas Baggett, of Akron, Ohio; granddaughter, Erica (Jonathan) Finley, of Akron, Ohio; grandsons, Tim Baggett, of Akron, Ohio, and James (Angela) Thomas, of Newton; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Chloe, Christopher and Taylor; sisters, Linda Sells, of Mooresville, and Nancy (J.C.) Willis, of Cherryville; and brother, Jim (Emma Jean) Hollar, of Taylorsville. The family would like to thank UNS Hospice of Akron General Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 22, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Catawba County. The Rev. Craig Scholtz will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
