Her obituary appeared as follows: CLAREMONT - Ina Bell Dellinger Sigmon, 95, of Shook Road, Claremont, was called home to Heaven on Saturday, July 29, 2006, at Palliative CareCenter & Hospice of Catawba Valley. Born May 26, 1911, in Catawba County, she was a daughter of the late Wilburn Alexander Dellinger and Claudie Olie Setzer Dellinger. She was retired after 45 years from the hosiery industry, and was a lifelong member of Bethel Lutheran Church, where she was an active member of the Wednesday morning Bible class until her declining health. She loved people and had many friends, loved to dance and had a wonderful sense of humor. She was a wonderful mother and friend. She will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Sam Sanford Sigmon; and a sister, Lorena Estelle Dellinger. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Darlene Cook and husband, Boyd, of Claremont; a son and daughter-in-law, Wilburn Sanford Sigmon and wife, Mary, of Jerome, Idaho; five grandchildren, Anita Smith and husband, Wayne, and Woodie Sigmon of Claremont, Eugene Sigmon and Robert Sigmon and wife, Ginger, of Jerome, Idaho, and Gary Sigmon and wife, Pam, of Clinton, Utah; four great-grandchildren, Valerie Smith, Adam Smith, Shawn Sigmon and wife, Rachel, and Ashley Sigmon; and one great-great-granddaughter, Trinity Sigmon. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2006, at Bethel Lutheran Church. The Revs. Craig Schultz and Edward Meyer will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2006, at Bethel Lutheran Church, and at other times will be at the home of Darlene and Boyd Cook, 4420 Shook Road, Claremont.
