Lois Catherine SETZER was born on 3 February 1923 in Catawba County, North Carolina.1224 She died on 9 July 2011 at the age of 88 in Pallative Care & Hospice of Catawba Valley, Newton, North Carolina. Her obituary appeared as follows: CLAREMONT Lois Catherine Setzer Moser, 88, of Rock Barn Road died Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Palliative CareCenter & Hospice of Catawba Valley. Born Feb. 3, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Loy Cope Setzer and Elsie Rachel Dellinger Setzer. She was a loving mother and grandmother and life-long member of Bethel Lutheran Church. She leaves to cherish her loving memories to a daughter, Kathy Ann Moser Manasco and her husband, Hancel of Claremont; a son, Randy Phillips Moser and his wife, Janice of Claremont; a sister, Janice Sigmon and her husband, Jerry of Claremont; three brothers, Bobby Setzer and his wife, Alma Jean of Claremont; Gene Setzer and his wife, Harolene of Claremont; Mackie Setzer and his wife, Betty of Claremont; eight grandchildren, Shana Manasco-Schronce and her husband, Jamie of Conover; Dana Campbell and her husband, Jimmy of Maiden; Randy Lee Moser and his wife, Donna of Conover; Randall Sigmon of Claremont; Jonathan Moser and his wife, Jennifer of Claremont; Jeromie Moser and his wife, Angie of Claremont; Kimberly Hiss and her husband, Robert of Polaski, Va.; and Greg Moser of Taylorsville; 20 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grand-children; and a brother-in-law, Ken Hollar of Claremont survive her. In addition to her late husband, Ben Kermit Moser, Sr.; a son, Ben Moser, Jr.; a sister, Patsy Setzer Hollar and a daughter-in-law, Pat Moser preceded her in death. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, at Bethel Lutheran Church. The Revs. Craig Schultz and Eric Hollar will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church. Benjamin Kermit MOSER Jr. was born on 20 August 1942 in Catawba County, North Carolina. He died on 7 March 2005 at the age of 62 in Claremont, Catawba County, North Carolina. He was buried in Bethel Lutheran Church Cemetery, Catfish community, Catawba County, North Carolina. His obituary appeared as follows: CLAREMONT - Ben K. Moser Jr., 62, of Rock Barn Road, Claremont, died Monday, March 7, 2005, at his son's residence. Born Aug. 20, 1942, in Catawba County, he was the son of Lois Setzer Moser and the late Ben Kermit Moser Sr. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Claremont and retired from McCrary Modern. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Patty Hicks Moser. Survivors include a son, Greg Moser of Conover; three grandchildren, Justin Moser, Trent Moser and Aja Moser; his mother, Lois Setzer Moser of Claremont; a sister and brother-in-law, Kathy Manasco and husband, Hancel, of Claremont; and a brother and sister-in-law, Randy Moser and wife, Janice, of Claremont. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2005, in the chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Conover. The Rev. Craig Schultz will officiate. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Bethel Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. Thursday at Drum Funeral Home.
