Billy Pat REITZEL was born on 20 June 1928 in Catawba County, North Carolina.¹⁶⁹² He died on 31 July 2006 at the age of 78 in Camelot Manor Nursing Home, Granite Falls, Caldwell County, North Carolina. His obituary appeared as follows:¹⁷³⁹ Billy Pat Reitzel, 78, former of Bolick Road, Claremont, died Monday, July 31, 2006 at Camelot Manor Nursing Care. Born June 20, 1928 in Catawba County, he was the son of the late Guy and Nellie Setzer Reitzel. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Claremont and retired from the textile industry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Guy Odell “Chub” Reitzel, Joe David Reitzel and Glenn Reitzel; and sisters Mary Roberta Lineberger and Ruby A. Hefner. Survivors include: Son and Daughter-in-law: Greg Reitzel and wife Carolyn of Claremont Grandson: Cole Reitzel A number of nieces and nephews A Service of Remembrance will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at Bethel Lutheran Church. Rev. Craig Schultz and Rev. Edward Meyer will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday at the church.
