Faye Rebecca BOWMAN was born on 12 May 1933 in Catawba County, North Carolina. She died on 21 March 2008 at the age of 74 in Frye Regional Medical Center, Hickory, Catawba County, NC. She was buried in St. Stephen's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Hickory, NC. Her obituary appeared as follows: HICKORY - Rebecca Bowman Bolick, 74, of Sulphur Springs Road, Hickory, passed away Friday, March 21, 2008, at Frye Regional Medical Center after a period of declining health. Rebecca was born May 12, 1933, in Catawba County to the late Clifton Ray and Beulah Herman Bowman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Clyde Bolick, and four sisters, Hilda Mae Starr, Shirley Punch, Ruth Bolick and Margaret Sherrill. She was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church-Mo. Synod and retired from Sherrills Furniture after more than 30 years of service. She is survived by her husband, Clyde "Pete" Anderson Bolick Jr.; daughters, Kathy Bolick Moretz and husband, Kenneth, of Lincolnton and Susan Bolick Rudisill of Hickory; grandsons, Stephen Scott Bolick, Charles Anderson "Andy" Rudisill and Brandon Lee Buff and his wife, Amy Buff; a granddaughter, Megan Moretz of Hickory; grandsons, Andy and Nathan Moretz of San Diego, Calif.; one great-granddaughter, Harley Elizabeth Buff; a sister, Doris Cook of Bethlehem; brother, Dennis Ray Bowman of Conover; daughter-in-law, Patricia Townsend Bolick of Hickory; and a number of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2008, at St. Stephens Lutheran Church-Mo. Synod, with the Revs. David Guelzow and David Ziehr officiating. The family will receive friends at the church after the service. Memorials may be made to St. Stephens Lutheran Church-Mo.
