4682. Betty Catherine SETZER was born on 10 September 1932 in Catawba County, North Carolina. She died on 29 July 2011 at the age of 78 in Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte, North Carolina. Her obituary appeared as follows: MAIDEN Betty Catherine Setzer Goodson Storey, 78, of E. Maiden Road, Maiden, passed away Friday, July 29, 2011, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. Born Sept. 10, 1932, in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Smith Robinson Setzer and the late Mae Yount Setzer. Betty was a member of Living Word Church in Maiden and worked at Carolina Glove and Newton Glove. In addition to her parents; two brothers, Neil Setzer, Ted Setzer and a sister, Barbara Hines, preceded her in death. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, George Storey, of the home; two sons, David Goodson of Maiden; Kenny Goodson and his wife, Sharon, of Lin-colnton; a daughter, Glenda Hartsoe of Maiden; a stepson, Ricky Storey and his wife, Gracie, of Manns Harbor; a stepdaughter, Wanda Baldwin and her husband, Roger, of Graham; her brother, Jerry Setzer and his wife, Frances, of Catawba; 11 grandchildren, Barry Hartsoe, Jeff Hartsoe, Brandon Good-son, Jordan Goodson, Bridget Goodson, Natalie Strait, Marcus Goodson, Shane Goodson, Ron Storey, Beth Storey, Megan Baldwin; and 10 great- grandchildren. The funeral service will be held Sunday, July 31, at 3 p.m. at Living Word Church in Maiden with the Revs. Rick Haug; Rebecca Tate and Mrs. Irish Barrett officiating. Burial will follow at McKendree United Methodist Church in Lincolnton. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 30, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Living Word Church in Maiden.
