3730. Hazel Dale ANTHONY was born on 26 March 1912 in Lincoln County, North Carolina.¹²⁴⁵ She died on 8 July 2004 at the age of 92 in Advance, Davie, North Carolina. She was buried in Clemmons Moravian Church, Clemmons, North Carolina. Her obituary appeared as follows: ADVANCE - Mrs. Hazel Dale Anthony Lutz, 92, of Clemmons, died Thursday, July 8, 2004, after a long illness. Hazel was born in Lincoln County, to Cephus Paul and Rosa Ramseur Anthony on March 26, 1912. In 1933, Hazel graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne College in Hickory. She taught third grade at Blackburn Elementary School from 1933 to 1935. After marrying Carl Washington Lutz in 1935, they made their home in Clemmons. Hazel was an active member of Clemmons Moravian Church, the Clemmons school PTA, the Girl Scouts and a was a Meals on Wheels volunteer. She was preceded in death by her son, Anthony “Tony” Lutz, and her husband, Carl Lutz. She is survived by three daughters, Arlene Baker and husband, Calvin, Judy Carter and husband, Ray, and Lois Romahn and husband, Scott; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Lutz Jackson; 10 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; a sister, Florence Gallimore of Newton; and a dear friend, Earsley Fulton. A funeral service will be held Sunday, July 11, 2004, at 2:30 p.m. at Clemmons Moravian Church by the Rev. Q. Ray Burke. Burial will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall at Clemmons Moravian Church. Friends may pay their respects at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel today, Saturday, between noon and 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Clemmons Moravian Church, Building Fund, P.O.
